Patna, Aug 09: Authorities of all international airports have been alerted to prevent the fugitive RJD MP Mohammed Shahabuddin, wanted in cases of alleged murder and kidnapping, from leaving the country, Bihar Police chief said today. Director General of Police D P Ojha, who ordered the Siwan strongman's arrest in three cases, told newsmen here today that the alert was sounded a few days ago.
Ojha said he had also spoken to his counterparts in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan about the likely presence of Shahabuddin in those states to arrest him.
Two of his associates were arrested from the industrial town of Asansol in West Bengal's Burdwan district last night.
The two men from Siwan, Prabhunath Singh and Gautam Singh, were wanted in several cases of murder and kidnapping, the police said in West Bengal.
Yet another accomplice Thakur Manoj Kumar Rana, also wanted in two cases along with Shahabuddin, surrendered before the Chief Judicial Magistrate's court in Siwan yesterday.
The noose around the controversial MP tightened yesterday after the Siwan Chief Judicial Magistrate Sushil Kumar Sinha directed the attachment of Shahabuddin's property for evading arrest. Bureau Report
