Jammu, June 28: 14 persons including 12 army personnel and two ultras, were killed and nine injured in a suicide attack by militants on an army cantonment here today.

Two militants stormed the Sunjiwan army camp through its main gate at around 4.30 am and hurled grenades and opened indiscriminate fire on the inmates who were sleeping, official sources said.
The army personnel retaliated and an exchange of fire took place in which two of the militants and 12 army personnel were killed and nine others were injured, they said.
The cantonment houses staff quarters and a training centre and is located at the bottom of lower Shivalik Ranges.
