A powerful bomb exploded early Wednesday near the official residence of Nepalese Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, police said.
"A powerful bomb exploded in front of the chief justice's house this morning but nobody was killed or injured in the incident," they said.
Chief Justice Keshav Prasad Upadhyay's house is about 50 metres from the premier's official residence.
The bomb was planted near a big tree outside the gate of the chief justice's house, which is guarded by armed soldiers, police said.
