Bangalore, Dec 02: Bangalore is a tourists’ paradise, undoubtedly, with Lalbagh, Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha, museums, Iskcon temple, IT Park and shopping arcades becoming travellers’ hotspots. But what they do not know about is the City’s historical heritage in the absence of any tourist packages to several interesting heritage sites located in and around Bangalore. All this will change when travellers will get a chance to explore the “real” Bangalore. The Karnataka Government, in association with the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (Intach), is introducing ‘Heritage Walks’ under which well-trained tourist guides will take tourists around historical sites in the City. The first walk will be around the Bangalore Fort area in Kalasipalyam.
