Eight killed in Maoist attack in Nepal
Kathmandu, Oct 26: Five policemen and three civilians were killed today when 200 Maoist rebels attacked a police station in Nawalparasi district of Nepal, state-run radio said.

police station in Nawalparasi district of Nepal, state-run
radio said.
The rebels launched an attack on the police station at
Sunaulbazaar village 200 km southwest of the capital Kathmandu
early today, the radio reported quoting police.
The police retaliated, leading to an exchange of fire
that lasted for about half an hour. The maoists then set off
a bomb before fleeing.
At least five policemen as well as three civilians,
including a tea seller and two passers-by, were killed in the
attack, the report said.
