Jamshedpur, May 28: Seven supporters of outlawed Maoist Communist Centre (MCC), allegedly involved in the looting and a torching of a forest department guest house sometime ago, were arrested from a village in west Singhbhum district, a police official said here today. All the arrested, owing allegiance to the ultra outfit, were nabbed yesterday from Gundijora in the Saranda forest allegedly for taking part in the looting and torching of decades old Philips cottage, a forest department guest house in Thalkobad, a couple of months ago, Superintendent of Police, Prabin Kumar told a news agency today.
He said the arrested persons had confessed to the police during interrogation about their participation in the ransacking and looting of the guest house.

Police had also recovered major parts of the looted property, including articles like bath-tubs, buckets, furniture, from their houses, Kumar said adding that further interrogation was on to get more information about the activities of the ultras.
A case had been registered under sections 395 IPC and 34 of explosives act, he added. Bureau Report
