Thrilling performances by film stars and glimpses of legends of the silver screen resurrected the magic of Indian cinema at a glittering show of Zee cine awards here last night with Rakesh Roshan's Kaho Na Pyar Hai bagging as many as ten honours.

Hrithik Roshan received the award of 'best actor' for his role in Kaho Na Pyar Hai while Tabu was honoured with 'best actress' award for her performance in ‘Astitva’.


Kaho Na Pyar Hai was adjudged the best film and also won awards in the categories of best story and direction (Rakesh Roshan), playback singing (Alka Yagnik and Lucky Ali), best debut (Hritik Roshan and Amisha Patel) and best music (rajesh roshan).

The film was also judged as the best movie by polling through the internet.
Film actor Sunil Dutt was honoured with the lifetime achievment award, while Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khanna and Vijay Anand were introduced as legends of Indian cinema by leading hero Shah Rukh Khan in a superb style and presentation with glimpses of their favourite movies on a huge screen.
Shah Rukh Khan rolled out a red carpet for thespian Dilip kumar and his actress-wife Saira Banu who came to the dias for a tete-e-tete with the actor.
Vijay Anand was decorated with hall of fame award for excelling as a writer, actor, director and a complete entertainer. Bureau Report
