Mumbai, Jan 06: INS Hamala, a premier training establishment of Indian Navy, would be celebrating its Golden Jubilee today in the presence of chief of Naval Staff Admiral Madhvendra Singh.
Captain Jayawant Korde, commanding officer of INS Hamala, told reporters that a seminar on logistics focusing on the Indianisation programme of the Indian Navy has been organised at INS Hamala, Centre for Logistics, Management, Catering and Information Technology Training- of the Indian Navy today.
"The seminar on logistics involving the participation of corporate sector is the second in a year as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of INS Hamala," Korde said.
He said that businessman Atul Kirloskar would be represnting the corporate sector along with the officials from the Indian Oil Corporation.
A `time capsule would be kept in the newly constructed museum of INS Hamala which would contain the messages on the individual suggestion on the vision of the institute, Korde said adding, this would be opened during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations to assess the fulfillment of the vision.



The INS Hamala Commanding Officer said the naval institute that provides training to personnel from sister services, Indian Coast Guard, foreign navies has also started providing training to civilians from this year.
