Hazaribagh (Jharkhand), Sept 23: Jharkhand police have arrested six suspected activists of the banned Maoist communist Centre in connection with September 20 killing of six villagers in Hazaribagh district, SP R K Mallick said here today.
Out of the six arrested extremists, Ramdeo Bhuiyan and Brahmadeo Bhuiyan were booked under the Prevention Of Terrorism Act (Pota) for their alleged direct involvement in the killing, Mallick told a news agency.
Six persons were shot dead by MCC ultras at village Igunia in the dense forest under Chouparan police station in the district on September 20.
