New Delhi, Feb 02: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today said the investigating agency did not apply any ''coercive method'' on the two youths who allegedly committed suicide after being interrogated in connection with the murder of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) engineer Satyendra Dubey. Talking to UNI, CBI spokesman said, ''The CBI is a professional investigating agency and we follow ethical standards during interrogation.'' Refuting the reports in a section of the media that the accused -- Mukendra Paswan and Shivnath Sah -- committed suicide after being tortured by the investigating agency during the interrogation, he said, ''We deny the charges.'' H said both Paswan and Sah were summoned by the investigating officer at Gaya on January 31. After a lengthy interrogation both were released at 1600 hrs the same day.
If they committed suicide after 24 hours of their release, the CBI had nothing to do with it, he said.

''The CBI is not to take the blame if they allegdly committed suicide at their respective houses after 24 hrs,'' he said.

It is alleged that some contractors had killed Dubey at the circuit house in Gaya.

The ruling RJD in Bihar had alleged that the CBI had harassed both the accused which led to their death by suicide.

RJD spokesperson and Bihar Excise Minister Shivanand Tiwari said the suicide by Paswan and Sah after interrogation by the CBI in the murder case openly ''indicated the intentions of the prime investigating agency.''
