Summer Special: Ice Tea for Parched Throats
July 27: Its that time of the year again. The time to gulp down glass after glass of chilled beverages to satiate the seemingly unquenchable thirst. But there is no reason why one can`t take a break from the regular coals and juices. To add a pinch of variety...not to mention exotica...to your refreshing drinks, here`s a recipe for Ice Tea. Simple to make...and great to taste!

But there is no reason why one can`t take a break from the regular coals and juices. To add a pinch of variety...not to mention exotica...to your refreshing drinks, here`s a recipe for Ice Tea. Simple to make...and great to taste!
Ingredients:
Sugar: 10 Tsps
Tea Leaves: 3 Tsps
Fresh Mint Leaves: A few sprigs
Lemon juice: To taste
Lemon: 1
Serves: 04 How to Prepare:
1. Boil five cups of water, add sugar and tealeaves and brew the tea for a minute. Add eight to ten fresh mint leaves. Remove from heat, strain and set aside to cool. Cut the lemon into round slices.
2. When the tea cools to room temperature add lemon juice and mix well.
3. Pour a cup of the decoction into an ice tray and set it to freeze for making “tea” ice cubes.
4. Chill rest of the decoction.
5. While serving pour the chilled tea into individual glasses, place the tea ice cubes, garnish with a sprig of mint leaves and lemon slices. Bureau Report
