Srinagar, Apr 03: Accusing the Centre of not being serious in resolving the Kashmir issue through dialogue, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party leader Shabir Ahmad Shah today called for initiation of talks at the earliest. Commenting on the recent massacre of Kashmiri pandits in Nadimarg, said a congenial atmosphere in the state could only be created with the resolution of the Kashmir issue through a dialogue.
"We feel dejected because of non-seriousness of the government in resolution of the Kashmir issue," he said calling for a "people's probe" into the Nadimarg killings for which no militant organisation has claimed responsibility so far.

"Impartial personalities from India and Pakistan should form the peoples probe and identify the hidden hand behind the henious crime to restore confidence of the people," Shah said in a statement in Shopian in south Kashmir.

Terming as inadequate the safety measures taken by the government for Kashmiri pandits, he said that the government has miserably failed to identify the killers behind such massacres in the past.
