Patiala, Feb 20: Cricketer-turned-commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu will campaign for the BJP for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections after returning from Pakistan where he was going as a commentator there for the next month's Indian cricket team tour. Talking to reporters during the goodwill match between Pakistan Invitation XI and Punjab CM's XI played here today, Sidhu said he, along with Sanjay Manjrekar, Imran Khan and Rameez Raja, was a part of the commentary team of Ten Sports. He said he would be able to participate in the election campaign after April 14 when the series between India and Pakistan cricket teams would be over. When asked about the speculations of his contesting elections from a seat in Punjab or Delhi, he said he joined the BJP as a worker and it is the party high command to decide what work and responsibility to be allotted to him. He said while joining the BJP he had no aspiration and he joined the party without any lust for power. Bureau Report
