New Delhi, Aug 06: Over 14 lakh foreign tourists arrived in the country till July this year registering a 13.1 per cent increase over the corresponding period last year and yielding a foreign exchange earning of over Rs 9,113 crore. A total of 14,73,836 foreign tourists arrived till July this year as against a figure of 13,03,279 in the corresponding period last year, an official release said today.
Foreign tourist arrival during July this year has registered 22.5 per cent increase with 2,18,333 foreign tourists, the release said.
During January-July this year, foreign exchange earnings through tourist arrival also registered 17.6 per cent increase over the earnings of corresponding period of last year. Bureau Report
