Linde, Sept 22: KJ Choi kept his nerve to seal victory by two strokes on 26 under in the German Masters at Linde. Choi fired his approach to the last within four feet of the pin to end Miguel Angel Jimenez's hopes.
Jimenez also birdied the last to clinch second outright on 24 under, one shot ahead of Ian Poulter and Niclas Fasth.
Anders Hansen, Darren Clarke and Carlos Rodiles all finished three shots further back on 20 under.
Choi's closing round of 67 was enough to earn him the 500,000 Euros first prize on his European Tour debut.
Starting the day with a one-stroke lead, Choi fired an eagle at the second when he holed from 168 yards.
Fasth, who fired a final round of 65, at one stage pulled level with the Korean, but Choi was never headed.
Lee Westwood was also in the money, despite finishing tied for 13th on 17 under.
Westwood's fine round of 63 was helped by a hole-in-one at the 226-yard par-three eighth, which won him a one kilo gold bar. Bureau Report
