New Delhi, May 26: Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will attend the first conference of Ministers of Information and Broadcasting in the Asia-Pacific region in Bangkok on May 27 and 28. Prasad will deliver the address on "promotion and preservation of cultural diversities", an official release said here today.

The conference is in preparation for participation in the international telecommunication union conference to be held later this year. Among other issues, the Bangkok conference is scheduled to discuss "aspects of globalisation", "public service broadcasting" and "global digital divide-- how does it affect the region".
