New York, Dec 08: Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has attacked the Bush administration for "failing" to prepare adequately for the task of restoring order in Iraq and claimed it was now in search of an exit strategy before the presidential elections. In a series of appearances on Sunday morning TV talk shows, Clinton, a Democrat, took on the administration, saying it was now altering its plans for a new government in Iraq, a leading newspaper reported today.
The government is in search of "some kind of exit strategy, some kind of transition before our elections," the New York Senator said on a television news programme.
She also accused the White House of deceiving the public about how much money and time would be required to reconstruct Iraq, the daily said.
"I think that the administration has, from the very beginning, not levelled with the American people," the former first lady told another television show.
"If we're going to undertake these kinds of very difficult missions, we should level with people about cost and time," she said. Bureau Report
