Allahabad, Nov 28: A special court has granted permission to the jailed independent legislator Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya to exercise his franchise in Legislation Council elections in Pratapgarh on December 01.

Legislation Council elections in Pratapgarh on December 01.
The special judge A K Nigam passed the order yesterday on
an application filed by Raja Bhaiyya, an MLA from Kunda
constituency in Pratapgarh district, seeking permission to
cast vote from his home district.
Granting permission to the jailed legislator presently lodged in Pratapgarh jail, the court directed the Pratapgarh district magistate and superintendent of police to ensure proper security arrangements at the polling station where the legislator would exercise his franchise.
Raja Bhaiyya, his father Udey Pratap Singh and MLC Akhshay Pratap Singh along with others are being tried by the special court here in four cases registered against them in Pratapgarh district last year. Bureau Report
