Srivilliputhur, Oct 22: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today said she was not personally responsible for the Congress MP Mani Sankar Aiyar's recent episode and she was not scared of the consequences arising out of the incident. "I am reminded of a fireworks incident. Recently, a rocket was set alight at Gopalapuram (where DMK chief M Karunanidhi resides in Chennai), but it fell down without bursting at Nagapattinam (where recently Jayalalithaa remarks on Aiyar's article on her was objected to by the MP and later he was allegedly attacked)," she said while participating in a government function here to distribute welfare assistance and to inaugurate government schemes.
Jayalalithaa, in an apparent reference to Aiyar, said the MP had been instigated to come to the Nagapattinam function, but failed in his efforts to make any impact.
She also indirectly compared Aiyar to fake crackers made in Chennai and said "the cracker is not genuine cracker made in Sivakasi, but a fake one made in Chennai and hence it failed."
