New Delhi, July 05: Public sector National Aluminium Company on Friday decided to delist its scrip from four regional bourses, including Delhi and Kolkata stock exchanges, even as the government was preparing to disinvest its equity in the aluminium major. The move follows a decision taken at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held at Bhubaneshwar on Friday.
Chairman and managing director C Venkataramana was quoted as saying that the decision was taken in line with Sebi guidelines allowing companies to withdraw from stock exchanges where trading volumes of shares and debentures is either nil or negligible.
He said the delisting would not affect the investors as BSE and NSE are linked to many cities for direct online trading.

The scrip would be taken off the Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata, Chennai and Delhi bourses, saving the company Rs 8 to 10 lakhs annually on listing fees.
Government will disinvest close to 60 per cent equity in the PSU through a combination of domestic and international offerings along with strategic sale. Bureau Report
