Kathmandu, Oct 21: Nepal today released 29 common criminals from jail to celebrate the birth of the crown couple`s third child, a girl, officials said.
Kathmandu, Oct 21: Nepal today released 29 common criminals from jail to celebrate the birth of the crown couple's third child, a girl, officials said.
The inmates' terms were commuted to mark "the happy occasion of the birth of her royal highness," the prisons management department said in a statement.
Crown Prince Paras and Crown Princess Himani on Thursday evening had their third child, who per tradition will be named after six months in a royal ceremony in which she will be fed rice.
The couple already has two children: two-year-old Princess Purnika and one-year-old Prince Hridayendra, who is in line to the throne.
