New Delhi, June 23: India and Morocco today discussed ways to increase bilateral textiles exports while recognising the key areas of cooperation between the two textile economies. In a meeting between Union Minister of Textiles Syed Shahnawaz Hussain and Moroccan industry and commerce minister Rachid Talbi el Alami in morocco, the two countries decided to step up efforts to spur textiles exports, an official release said here.

The meeting, held in a cordial and free atmosphere, recognised the complementaries between the two countries.
Hussain also inaugurated an exclusive Indian textile exhibition at Casablanca which would showcase India's rich and diverse textile capabilities.

Around 90 representatives from 50 Indian companies are participating in the largest ever Indian exposition in morocco.
India's textile exports to morocco during 2002-03 reached $38 million marking a 40 per cent growth.
