Raipur, Feb 20: The Chhattisgarh Assembly was adjourned for an hour today as BJP for the second consecutive day raised the privilege motion against the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi for bringing a resolution, condemning deputy speaker Banwarilal Agrawal for his reported remark on judiciary. Immediately after the House assembled, the deputy opposition leader Mahesh Tiwari said the Chief Minister should "apologise" for also bringing in a no-confidence motion against Agrawal.
But the entire treasury bench members opposed this and amidst uproarious scene the house was adjourned for one hour by the speaker Rajendra Prasad Shukla, without taking up the Question hour.
On the similar issue the 90-member house yesterday also could not take up the Question Hour.
On Monday last the CLP had passed a resolution condemning deputy speaker Agrawal (BJP), for his reported remark against judiciary on February 5, which the deputy speaker has denied. Bureau Report
