Bikaner, Aug 09: What will Munir, the 13-year-old Pakistani boy, who strayed into the Indian territory one-and-a-half month ago, like to take with him in his journey back home? "Half a kilogramme of mangoes and the clothes people have gifted me during my stay here," says an excited Munir staying in the children's home here while preparing for his return journey.
"I would like to purchase some clothes for my Amma, Abbu and brothers and sisters, and a pair of slippers for Amma," says Munir who stops for a moment and adds "but, I do not have any money."
Moved by the love and affection he got first at Karanpur police station in Ganganagar and later at the children's home, he says, "If I am getting so much love, other children here must also be getting the same. There should not be any ladai-jhagda (fight and quarrel). Why should people fight with the very nice people living here?"
"I shall take with me the clothes I got here as gifts from the people so that I can show them to my villagers as a proof of how much love and affection I got here."
When asked about the behaviour of the Indian police, Munir said "'Yahan to muje din mein char-char baar khana khilaya (Here I was given food four times a day).'"
Superintendent of the children's home Gyana Ram Vishnoi said, "Munir is very excited since he got information that he would be leaving Bikaner tomorrow for Delhi from where he would be going to Lahore by bus."
