Raipur, June 02: The new Chhattisgarh Governor Lt Gen Krishna Mohan Seth today indicated his resolve to end Naxalite violence in the state. Talking to reporters after being sworn-in, Seth said he would work towards preventing the spread or expansion of the Naxal violence and see that the issue was resolved.
The decorated army general and counter-insurgency operations expert said he would go deep into the matter to find out the cause of spread of Naxalism.
Insurgency and Naxal movement were different, as the former was being operated by foreign countries, he said.
Six out of 16 districts of the state are affected by Naxal violence, with both People's War Group (PWG) and Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) active in the state.
