Barcelona, Sept 18: The Mild Seven Renault F1 Team yesterday completed its final day of private testing of the season at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.
Like yesterday, test driver Franck Montagny was at the wheel, and his programme continued the previous day’s work, concentrating on tyre and chassis development.
“An effective second day for Franck,” summarised Technical Director Mike Gascoyne. “He spent most of the day testing tyres for Suzuka, then moved on to some chassis work. His lap-times were very consistent, and improved throughout the day. Overall, it was a day where he continued to confirm his potential, and a fitting end to a very effective year’s testing.”

This final day of testing saw Montagny complete 123 laps, or almost two race distances. The team will next be in action on Friday, 26 September at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the United States Grand Prix.
