Pachmarhi, May 28: The BJP may resort to engineering communal riots in Madhya Pradesh before the coming assembly elections, Chief Minister Digvijay Singh said here today. "The BJP can resort to communal riots as the twin issues of bad condition of roads and shortage of electricity were being sorted out now", Singh alleged in his concluding remarks at the two-day review convention of the Congress that ended here today. He said a sum of more than Rs 2,000 crore was being spent on the construction of roads right now and that there had been a decline in the duration of power cuts in the state. "Under such circumstances, it was possible that the BJP may resort to engineering communal riots before the assembly elections," the chief minister said. Singh, however, asserted that all attempts at disturbing communal harmony would be dealt with strictly. Bureau Report
