New Delhi, Nov 17: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has approved the appointment of Otaram Devasi as part-time chairman of the State Farms Corporation of India. Devasi has played a prominent role in upliftment of the animal husbandry sector, said a release issued today.

The State Farms Corporation of India is a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Agriculture and manages 11 farms across the country for production of high quality seeds, it said. Bureau Report
