Anjali continues to ride high in halfway stage
New Delhi, Nov 20: Defending champion Anjali Chopra hung on grimly to her lead at the halfway stage of the 36th Ladies Northern India Open Golf Championship on a day of dismal performances at the Delhi Golf Club course here yesterday.
New Delhi, Nov 20: Defending champion Anjali Chopra hung on grimly to her lead at the halfway stage of the 36th Ladies Northern India Open Golf Championship on a day of dismal performances at the Delhi Golf Club course here yesterday.
The only golfer to show her mettle was former national champion Parnita Garewal. A card of one over par 73 gave Parnita an aggregate of 152 and a place one stroke behind Anjali who shot a poor 77.
Parnita was one under for the front 9 with three birdies on the 5th, 7th and 9th holes. On the back nine, she collected two more birdies for a two over par 38.
