Missile successfully hits `Lakshya` as part of defence exercise
Balasore, Nov 14: Pilotless target aircraft `Lakshya` was successfully hit by a short range missile fired from the integrated test range at Chandipur, 14 km from here, as part of an air defence exercise today, defence sources said.

Lakshya was first flown after which Osa, a Russian-built missile, was fired to hit the target, the sources said adding the exercise was successful.
Scientists of the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) were present during the exercise.
The sources said that missiles already acquired by the defence forces were being tested to gauge various parameters.
