Tokyo, June 30: Japan's computer maker Fujitsu has teamed up with Finnish mobile communications giant Nokia to provide corporate information services through cellular phones, a daily said today. The service will enable specially configured Nokia cell phones to access a company's computer system, making product and customer information accessible from anywhere, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun said.

The two companies will begin the service in northern Europe and Britain later this year before expanding in 2004 to the rest of Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong, the business newspaper said.
The system allows sales personnel to transmit product and customer information from off-site locations, the daily said.

With the system, users can also provide better management of deliveries by linking the cell phones of delivery truck drivers to company computer systems, it said.
The firms plan to leverage the new tie-up to achieve annual sales of 30 billion yen ($251 million) in three years, it said.
