Kaithal, Feb 05: The Haryana government has formulated a Rs 210 crore scheme for shifting dairies, piggeries and truck union offices outside the periphery of 49 cities in the state. This step has been taken to beautify the cities and provide essential services to the people of these towns, Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala said while announcing the scheme.
He was addressing a public meeting after laying the foundation stone of a Rs 2.42 crore shopping complex here.
Mr Chautala said steps were also being taken for making the cities clean by proper disposal of waste from which electricity would also be produced.
