Bhubaneswar, July 24: Private sector Paradip Phosphates Ltd (PPL), a leading fertiliser manufacturer in eastern India, has bagged its first export order in response to a public tender invited by the Nepal government, PPL sources said today. The export order for 4,800 metric tonnes of di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) worth 1.25 million us dollars was bagged by PPL, which was privatised last year, a company release said. The tender, floated through Agriculture Inputs Company Ltd, was won in stiff competition from several major international DAP suppliers, the release said. PPL, with an installed capacity of almost one million tonnes and located at Paradip, is also actively exploring exports to Bangladesh in the current year, it added. Bureau Report
