Haryana provides electronic access to info on public services
Chandigarh, Oct 22: Haryana Government has introduced Nai Disha, an `electronic interface between the administration and the citizens` that will provide information on a number of public services.

introduced Nai Disha, an "electronic interface between the
administration and the citizens" that will provide information
on a number of public services.
People of Panchkula, Sonepat, Gurgaon, Rohtak, Hisar and
Sirsa districts would be able to access information on taxes,
pension, welfare schemes, panchayats and other important
matters through the internet or dial-up lines, a spokesman of
the Department of Information Technology said here today.
The project would be introduced in the remaining districts in next few months.
The software has been developed by Haryana unit of National Informatics Centre.
Nai Disha project has been conceived for implementation through District Network (D-Net).
He said all the administrative secretaries, heads of departments, divisional commissioners, range inspector general of police, all deputy commissioners and superintending engineers had been asked to update data and to process queries generated in the portal.
The services being provided under Nai Disha include welfare pensions, financial assistance to destitute children schemes, yellow pages, revenue courts cases cause list, collector rates below poverty line beneficiaries, public grievances, Sarkar Aapke Dwar programme, bus time table, train time table, house tax survey and birth and death certificates (rural), and others.
