New Delhi, Feb 19: Seventy-nine wardens of Tihar Jail were today transferred, two days after the escape of Sher Singh of Rana, prime accused in the assassination of bandit-turned-politician Phoolan Devi from the high-security prison. Those shifted included the wardens of the jail where Rana was lodged and from where he was escorted out by a team of persons posing as policemen on Tuesday morning, jail sources said.

The transfer involved shifting of the wardens of all the seven separate jails located inside the Tihar complex. Bureau Report
