Srinagar, Nov 19: Hurriyat Conference has convened a meeting of leaders of various separatist outfits today to reach a broader consensus on New Delhi's talks offer to the separatists to resolve the Kashmir issue before taking a final decision.
The meeting has been called by senior Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Moulvi Umar Farooq at his residence in an attempt to shape up a consensus ahead of Hurriyat's general council meeting on Thursday, Hurriyat executive member Bilal Gani Lone told reporters here.
"We have convened the general council meeting to discuss various issues, including New Delhi's talks offer," lone said.
Hurriyat had accepted in principal Centre's offer for dialogue but put the final decision conditional to a broader consensus in the separatist camp.
The outcome of today's informal meeting at Mirwaiz's residence is likely to set the tone for the general council meeting at Hurriyat headquarters at Rajbagh.

The final decision on Centre's offer of talks is likely to be announced on the last Friday of the ongoing fasting month of Ramzan at Srinagar's Jamia Masjid as indicated by Hurriyat leaders earlier.
