Vijaya Bank`s second equity issue in October
Bangalore, Sept 15: Vijaya Bank on Monday said its second equity issue offering of 10 crore shares at Rs 10 each, with a premium of Rs 14 crore, would be open for subscription to the public during the first half of October.

"The issue will be open during the first half of October, but the date is being finalised," Vijaya bank chairman and managing director M S Kapur told reporters here.
The bank would utilise the equity proceeds of estimated Rs 240 crore for its regular business activities, he said, adding that the public offer would increase the bank's equity capital to Rs 433.52 crore from Rs 333.52 crore, as on March 31, 2003.
After this issue, the holding by the government would reduce to 53.87 per cent from 70.02 per cent, Kapur said.
The bank's shares would be listed on the BSE, the Bangalore stock exchange, and the National Stock Exchange. Bureau Report
