A witness in Jessica Lal murder case Monday supported the prosecution claim before a city court that Shyan Munshi, who had turned hostile witness in the case, was serving liquor along with the model at the party in a South Delhi restaurant owned by socialite Bina Ramani, where Jessica was shot dead on April 29, 1999. Jessica served liquor behind the bar in the said party. A boy, named Shyan Munshi also served liquour similarly, Sahana Mukherjee, an event manager, deposing as a prosecution witness, told additional sessions judge R L Chugh.
Lal was allegedly shot dead by Siddharth Vasisth alias Manu Sharma, son of former union minister Vinod Sharma, at the Tamarind Court Cafe in Qutub Colonade on the intervening night of April 29-30, 1999, where Ramani had organised a farewell party for her Canadian husband George Malihot, who was to leave for a world trip. Munshi, a fashion designer, who according to police was the complainant and the main eye witness in the case had turned hostile and had told the court that Manu actually did not shoot at her.
