Hyderabad, June 30: Andhra Pradesh Congress General Secretary Pitla Krishna was arrested here last night for allegedly trying to "grab" private land. On a complaint lodged by three persons that Krishna and his son Sampath had threatened them and had tried to encroach upon their land, Kushaiguda police registered a case and arrested Krishna, Additional Comissioner of Police (Malkajgiri Division) V Satyanarayana said here today. A case has been registered against him under various sections of the IPC, he said, adding Krishna will be produced in a local court later in the day. Earlier last month, Cyberabad police arrested AICC secretary Vaddepally Narsing Rao also on land grab charges. Bureau Report
