New Delhi, May 27: Extraordinary security measures have been enforced by the Election Commission to ensure free and fair polling on May 31 in Chhapra Lok Sabha constituency of Bihar where election was countermanded following complaints of large-scale mal-practices on April 26. The Commission has decided to deploy only central government officials to oversee polling in the sensitive consituency where RJD supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav is pitted against BJP's Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
Other measures include videography in most of the polling booths to curb the movement of anti-social elements, sealing of borders with neighbouring districts and strengthening of communication facilities available with the polling officials.
