Uttam Singh Mundy wins Hindu Golf Open
Chennai, Sept 13: On a day of gripping action, Uttam Singh Mundy emerged triumphant winning on the second-play off hole after he and C Muniyappa were tied at six-under par 282 at the end of the stipulated four rounds in the Hindu Open Golf 2003 here today.

at the end of the stipulated four rounds in the Hindu Open Golf 2003 here today.
Mundy, who returned the best score of five-under today,
bagged the first prize of Rs 1,13,400 while Bangalore-based
Muniyappa got Rs 78,400.
This is 24-year-old Muniyappa's best ever finish. Muniyappa carded a three-under 69 today.
A stroke behind the leaders was Vijay Kumar who finished with a 5-under 283.89, though he played a par-round.
Amritinder Singh of Chandigarh also shared the limelight when he played a four-under 68 and had a hole-in-one on the par-3 fourth (147-yards). He was placed sixth overall (287).
