- Kuki National Front (Military Council) and Kuki National
Front (Zougam) - have reached an agreement to reunite.
The two factions reached the agreement on July 25 after deciding to "bury internal differences", a KNF statement said today asserting the KNF would continue to fight for a 'Kukiland'.
Founded at Molnoi in neighbouring Myanmar by Nehlun Kipgen and other leaders in may 1988 with the sole aim to achieve 'Kukiland', the KNF had been split into many factions in recent years following "premature deaths" of its founding leaders, the statement said.
