While addressing this media on Tuesday morning, the legendary actor displayed his wit and humour by describing the tradition of cutting a cake during birthdays in the most hilarious way.

He said, “Cake ki pratha humne band karwaane ko kaha hai. Kyunki mujhe pata nahin ye cake kyun laaya jata hai?Mombatti kyun lagayi jaati hai? Jaalane ke baad kehte hain ise phoonk ke bujha do, fir ek bada sa katlnuma chaaku aajata hai.”

(I have asked to stop the tradition of cake cutting because I do not know why a cake is bought. Why a candle is lit? And after lighting it up, why is it blown off. Then comes a big knife!)

“Aajkal ek nayi pratha shuru hui hai, jab sab kaaand hojata hai tab ek aur kaand hota hai..cake leke poth dete hain mooh pe,” he added.

(These days, a new tradition is followed...after all the “theatrics” another trend is followed...cake is smeared all over the face”.)
