Jaya favours common civil code for the country
Chennai, July 29: Tamil Nadu chief minister and AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa today welcomed the Supreme Court`s suggestion to parliament to evolve a common civil code for the country.

"The common civil code is very necessary for the country," she said speaking to newsmen outside the AIADMK party headquarters here.
In reply to a question on building a temple at Ayodhya, Jayalalithaa said a temple for ram should be built there.
"If we cannot build a temple for Lord Ram in India, where else can we do it?," she said, adding "temple should be built". Bureau Report
