Two CPI-M workers kidnapped in Tripura
Agartala, June 28: Two CPI (M) workers were kidnapped by NLFT insurgents and a teenaged girl was freed by them in separate incidents in Tripura, police said today.

A group of armed NLFT insurgents raided Durga Chowdhury Para of Dhalai district yesterday and kidnapped Sanjib Dewan and Gopal Sarkar, who were farmers working in the fields.
Police said the two kidnapped persons were workers of the ruling CPI (M). Police have launched search operation to rescue them and arrest the culprits.
In a separate incident, the NLFT insurgents released Himani Nath, a 18-year-old girl, unhurt at Daincherra area from their captivity last night, police said. The ultras had kidnapped Nath from her house at Daincherra village of North Tripura district on May 16, police added. Bureau Report
