Shillong, July 22: A vital base of the Indian Air Force in the Eastern Air Command, air stores park, at Digaru in Assam has been inundated by flood water, defence sources here said today. The main operational areas of the base at Digaru, near Guwahati, has been under flood water since July 11 because of the back flow of the Brahmaputra through the Digaru river. However, the sources said, 'proactive' action by the authority prevented government properties worth crores of rupees from being damaged by the flood water.
