Patna, Dec 09: Charges and countercharges today flew thick and fast between RJD supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav and ousted DGP D P Ojha as Bihar braced for a statewide bandh called by the NDA to protest the removal of the IPS officer.
Laloo Yadav accused Ojha of serving the interest of the Ranvir Sena and calling his Chief Minister wife Rabri Devi 'dumb', to be in turn charged by the former top cop with
running the government through 'remote control.
A NDA delegation led by Bihar convenor Nand Kishore Yadav submitted a memorandum to Governor M Rama Jois demanding dismissal of the Rabri ministry and urged him to direct the government to make public Ojha's report on controversial RJD MP from Siwan, Mohammed Shahabuddin, detailing his alleged links with Pakistan's ISI and other anti-national activities. "The Rabri Devi ministry's anti-national activities have been established by the 100-page report submitted by Ojha to the state government and hence the Governor should sack the government in national interest," Yadav told reporters.
The RJD chief, meanwhile, told reporters that he had 'irrefutable evidence' that Ojha had served the interest of Ranvir Sena, a private army of upper caste landlords, and 'criminals with NDA leanings'.
Ranvir Sena leaders and criminals 'having links with NDA', Laloo Yadav said, frequently visited Ojha and a conspiracy to topple the Bihar government was hatched in his office. The ousted DGP had also denigrated women folk by calling Rabri Devi 'dumb', Laloo alleged.
