Dehradun, Sept 10: Security arrangements have been beefed up in and around the prestigious Indian Military Academy (IMA) amid fears of terrorists strikes. Police in close coordination with army is working on a plan to chalk out 'foolproof' security for IMA premises which produces military officers of high caliber every year.

"We have got some information in the light of terrorist strikes elsewhere in the country. We are verifying that information accordingly and working out a plan," senior superintendent of police, Dehradun, R S Meena said. Police has also released sketches of two suspected terrorists in this regard.

Night patrolling and frisking around the premises has been intensified in the new security arrangements. Police sources said security was also being strengthened in other important institutions and vital establishments here.
