Shimla, Apr 13: Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said his government was committed to give clean, transparent and responsive administration and would reward those giving clues about corruption. Addressing a public meeting after laying the foundation stone of Rs 3.02 crore Sataun bridge over Giri river in Sirmaur district, he said no person guilty of corruption would go scot-free and state investigating agencies had been asked to function impartially without any fear.
Singh said the pace of development would be speeded up by paying special attention to backward and difficult areas which had remained neglected so far.
He said his government would make efforts to link every panchayat in the state by road in the next five years.
An amount of Rs 450 crore would be spent on universal elementary education and 2200 new middle schools would be opened in a span of five years, the Chief Minister added. Bureau Report
