Mumbai blast accused remanded to further police custody till Sept 26
Mumbai, Sept 15: A Pota court today further remanded the three accused involved in both the twin bomb blast and Ghatkopar blast cases, to police custody till September 26.

They were remanded to police custody in Ghatkopar blast
case today.
Ashrat Shafique Ansari, Sayyed Mohammed Hanif and Fahmida Hanif, clad in burkha, were produced before designated judge A P Bhangle, amidst tight security.
In another development, the court allowed police to destroy explosives seized from the possession of the accused.
The accused were charged with creating an explosion on July 28 in a bus at suburban Ghatkopar, killing two persons.
They are also facing the charge of creating twin blasts near Zaveri Bazaar and Gateway of India in Mumbai on August 25, killing 52 persons and injuring more than 100.
Seeking their remand, special public prosecutor, Ujjwal Nikam said that the prime facie investigations had revealed that the conspiracy was not only confined to India but was deep-rooted and involved the flow of foreign funds.
The prosecutor also said that the modus operandi adopted by the accused was novice in as much as they had e-mailed a message to media on July 27 that they would trigger off a blast in Mumbai the next day and executed the threat.
Advocate Sushan Kunjuraman appeared for Arshat and sought a copy of the remand application, accordingly the prosecution furnished the copy to him.
